Lilia Buckingham

American actress, writer, producer and content creator known for playing Cassie Traske in Disney's Hocus Pocus 2. She also established herself among younger audiences through Brat TV productions including Dirt, Chicken Girls, Total Eclipse, Zoe Valentine and Crown Lake. In 2021, she published the young-adult mystery novel Influence with Sara Shepard, drawing upon the pressures and rivalries associated with social media culture.

She began participating in musical theatre productions and dance classes during childhood. Her first television appearance was a small role in Modern Family in 2012. She later competed as a dancer at MNR Dance Factory, where she met Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler and began developing the online following that eventually supported her acting career.

She co-founded Positively Social with her brother Jack, sisters Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler and other young creators. The initiative was designed to educate teenagers about cyberbullying and encourage healthier use of social media. She also studied film and television at Boston University, focusing particularly on writing, production and the eventual adaptation of books for the screen.

She is the daughter of businesswoman and author Jane Buckingham and author and business consultant Marcus Buckingham. She has an older brother named Jack, with whom she participated in creating Positively Social. She grew up in Los Angeles in an environment connected to communications, writing and the entertainment industry.

She previously had a public relationship with actress and singer Jillian Shea Spaeder, with whom she appeared in interviews and digital content. She has since kept her romantic life more private and has not publicly confirmed another long-term relationship.

In Hocus Pocus 2, she worked with Whitney Peak and Belissa Escobedo and shared the production with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, Tony Hale and Hannah Waddingham. Her literary collaboration with Sara Shepard allowed her to transform her experience as a digital personality into a novel about fame, identity and public exposure. In 2026, she continued developing acting and writing projects from Los Angeles and appeared on the inaugural print cover of LOOP Magazine.
