A Spanish footballer who primarily plays as a left-back, although he can also play as a wing-back or centre-back. He came through the youth ranks at Espanyol and FC Barcelona, making his official debut for the first team in the Copa del Rey in 2017.
After playing for Barcelona B, he continued his career at Eibar and Getafe. In 2021, he signed for Brighton & Hove Albion, where he was voted the club’s Player of the Year during his first season in the Premier League. In August 2022, he was signed by Chelsea and became a key player in their defense.
With Chelsea, he won the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025. In June 2026, his transfer to Real Madrid was confirmed, where he signed a six-year contract, valid until June 30, 2032.
