Surfsterre, the public name used by Sterre Meijer, is a Dutch content creator and athlete associated with surfing, windsurfing and skateboarding. Her public activity can be traced to around 2017, when she made her debut in the European Freestyle Pro Tour at a very young age. That early stage placed her first within junior windsurfing competition before her image expanded into digital formats more focused on skate culture and lifestyle content. Over time, she built a recognizable online identity linked to board sports, fashion and a carefully styled visual presence.

She became widely known by turning that mix of sport and online presence into a large-scale personal brand. On her public profiles, she describes herself as a Dutch “skatergirl” obsessed with surf skate and fashion, and her growth on platforms such as Instagram and YouTube led Olympics.com to feature her in the 2024 Skate-Hers series as a figure with strong momentum in both skateboarding and social media. In early 2026, her Instagram account had passed 3 million followers and her YouTube channel was close to 943 thousand subscribers, a reach that helps explain why her name moved beyond niche action-sports audiences.

Before that broader influencer visibility, Meijer was already connected to competitive freestyle windsurfing. In an EFPT interview published in 2021, she described herself as a young athlete from the Netherlands living near Brouwersdam, with interests spanning windsurfing, surfing, skateboarding and longboard dancing. In that same interview, she named Sarah-Quita Offringa, Maaike Huvermann, Hanna Poschinger and Yoli de Brendt among the riders who inspired her, which helps place her development within an already established women’s action-sports scene.
