Emilia Mernes began her entertainment career in 2012, at the age of 16, when she won the 47 Street brand's «47 te busca» modeling contest, which gave her her first public exposure. However, her leap to regional fame came in 2016 when she joined the popular Uruguayan cumbia pop band Rombai as the lead vocalist. During her two years as a member of the group, she gained valuable experience on stages and in recording studios, connecting with a massive audience in Argentina and other Latin American countries.

In 2018, feeling the need to forge her own artistic identity, Emilia left Rombai to pursue a solo career. After signing with Sony Music Latin and WK Entertainment, she officially launched her solo project in March 2019 with the single «Recalienta.» Broadening her horizons, she also ventured into acting, debuting in 2021 with a leading role in the Disney+ series «Entrelazados,» demonstrating her versatility as an artist.

The following years marked her consolidation as an urban pop star. In 2021, she released successful collaborations such as «Como si no importara» with Duki and «Rápido lento» with Tiago PZK. In May 2022, she released her debut album, «¿Tú crees en mí?», and performed on major stages such as Lollapalooza Argentina. Her international recognition grew in 2023 with triumph at the Viña del Mar Festival and the release of her second album, «.mp3,» a project inspired by 2000s aesthetics that marked a new era in her career.

The success of her second album materialized in 2024 with the overwhelming «.mp3 Tour,» with which she sold out ten dates at the Movistar Arena and four at the Vélez Sarsfield stadium in Buenos Aires, cementing her status as a musical phenomenon. During this period, she continued releasing successful music, including collaborations with Nathy Peluso and Los Ángeles Azules. In early 2025, she reaffirmed her position as one of the leaders of the Latin music scene with the release of «Blackout,» a highly anticipated collaboration with Tini Stoessel and Nicki Nicole.
